Advance Quotes
by Andrew D. Hyder

Stock Quotes, also known as a security's "quoted prices" are a list of prices (generally bid, ask, and last) for a stock at a particular point during the trading day. The "last" price is the "current" price at which a security or commodity traded, meaning the most recent price on which a buyer and seller agreed and at which some amount of the security was transacted. The "bid" or "ask" quotes are the most current prices and quantities (on the buy and sell side) at which the shares can currently be bought or sold. The bid quote shows the price and quantity at which a current buyer is willing to purchase the shares, while the ask shows what a current participant is willing to sell the shares for.

Quote systems are available in 3 basic methods for securities and prices change throughout the trading day as new transactions occur one after another in a continual stream of trades.

1. Delayed Quotes - When you look up a stock quote from a free web service the quotes are normally delayed 15 minutes. For a long term investor this is suitable for investing.

2. Real-time Quotes - When an investor makes frequent intraday trades they are typically referred to as a "day trader". Day-traders require real time quotes because their trading methodology requires making trades which take advantage of smaller intraday movements.

3. Advance Quotes - Advance Quotes are defined as an Artificial Intelligence quotation forecasting system which is designed to predict future value of a market or security at a predefined moment. This is a relatively new category of quoting system that Subjex Corporation has pioneered.

Patterns found with consistency in the markets can be applied to today's market data which will allow future events to be forecast with a high degree of accuracy. The FMS Daily Forecasting "Advance Quote" system, gives market traders the edge. The system gives approximate times and tomorrow's general direction information for the NASDAQ 100 Index and the DOW (DJIA) Index. This is a free service sponsored by Subjex Corporation.
